Manola Dettori and Piersandro Pallavicini have been married for more than 25 years. She graduated in scenography from Accademia di Brera, Milano, and he has a doctorate in chemistry from the Scuola Normale Superiore, Pisa. Manola is a manager at the municipality of Belgioioso, where she deals, among other things, with projects for cultural development. Piersandro is a chemistry professor at the University of Pavia, writes novels published by Feltrinelli and Mondadori, and collaborates with the newspaper «Il Giornale», where he writes on the world of contemporary art. Always passionate about art, for five years they have been collecting in a structured (and compulsive) way, focusing above all on the Nuova Figurazione Italiana and on young emerging painting. For some time now, a couple of times a year they open their home to host young artists, to whom they dedicate one-night event-exhibitions, devoid of any commercial component.
